Act like a professional!
On November 26-30, the Final of the national championship “Professionals” for schoolchildren and students from all over the country took place!
Young professionals, vocational students, schoolchildren and foreign friends competed for the title of the best in their profession. The championship brought together more than 1800 finalists and mentors who are ready to develop and work for the benefit of Russia.
By the opening of the Championship, Expoforum had transformed into a real industrial testing ground: in two weeks of construction by the general developer EF-Design, commissioned by the Directorate for the Organization and Conduct of Socially Significant Programs, the pavilions turned into car service stations, turning and welding workshops.
The area of more than 18 thousand square meters is occupied by “Professionals”!
More than 600 people were involved in the process of building and preparing for the Championship.
More than 1,000 tons of cargo have been delivered to the site.
More than 300 flights were completed during the competence development.
Of particular interest to journalists, and there were more than 300 of them at the Championship events, was the press approach of Svetlana Sergeeva, Director of the Directorate for the Organization and Conduct of Socially Significant Programs. She noted that every year the Final of the Professionals Championship covers more and more competencies in various sectors of the economy. 173 thousand pieces of equipment weighing more than a thousand tons were used for the Championship. The competitions were held not only at the Expoforum Exhibition Center, but also at six remote venues, including Pulkovo Airport and five colleges. The organizers created conditions that mimic the work of factories, opened a restaurant, a hospital and workshops. All the equipment was purchased in record time — in two months.
More than 40 fields were represented at Expoforum: cooking, robotics, medical and sewing, graphic design, welding technologies, industrial automation, 3D modeling and many more other specialties. In addition to competitive tests, the Management organized lectures, panel discussions, plenary sessions for the guests and participants, and what a vivid opening and closing of the championship at SKA Arena! Without a doubt, the Management has managed to energize the young professionals for new achievements.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to the organizers and participants of the championship. The President instructed to train one million specialists in working professions for various industries.
Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, made a tour of the Championship’s competition venues and Expoforum pavilions, and emphasized: “Representatives of more than 20 friendly countries have arrived in St. Petersburg. The total number of visitors to the Finals is impressive — there were about 20 thousand of them. In general, secondary vocational education and the flagship project “Professionalism” are actively developing.”
“I am pleased and proud to announce that our city is becoming the capital of the Finals of the Professionals Championship up to and including 2027. All participants were delighted with what they saw in the city and the conditions of the competition,” said Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, during a visit to the Championship.
The management provided all the conditions for a comfortable stay of the contestants at the Championship and rest after intense competitions. The Directorate provided an extensive business and cultural program, transfer, meals, accommodation, uniforms and souvenir award products.
Sergey Voronkov, CEO of ExpoForum International, took part in awarding the champions, presenting medals to the junior winners in the main competition of the Championship.
The final of the Professionals championship is held as part of the All-Russian championship movement in professional skills. The organizers are the Ministry of Education of Russia, the government of St. Petersburg. The Directorate is the Directorate for the Organization and Conduct of Socially Significant Programs.
